Joyce Darracott's Visit to Stewart Fleming
On Friday 6th March, we were very fortunate to have had a visit from a former pupil. Joyce Darracott joined the school when it very first opened in September 1939! Unfortunately, the school was unable to open in September due to World War II being declared, however it was opened a short while after.
Joyce spent a short time with the Head Girl and Head Boy before talking in assembly about some of her experiences when she attended Stewart Fleming. We were amazed when she told us that she was not allowed to be sent any homework despite her asking her teacher for more work!
